Tata Curvv Petrol & Diesel versions to be launched on September 2

The Tata Curvv SUV Coupe will be offered with an all-new 1.2-litre GDi Hyperion engine.

Today, Tata Motors launched the Curvv.ev in the Indian market. The SUV Coupe will also be available with petrol and diesel engine options. Prices of the ICE version will be announced on September 2, 2024.

The Tata Curvv SUV Coupe is based on the new ATLAS platform. The car has a stylish front end with an LED lightbar, a strong shoulder line with flared wheel arches, and flush-fitting door handles. It has a sloping roof line that blends into a short tail section, featuring a 3D LED light bar.

Inside, the Curvv gets a minimalistic dashboard housing a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The car has a 4-spoke multi-function steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also equipped with features like a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, customizable mood lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker JBL sound system and a gesture-controlled electric tailgate.

The Curvv gets Level 2 ADAS with over 20 safety features and driving aids. The SUV also gets a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitoring system, 6 airbags, ESP, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, among other safety features.

The Tata Curvv will come with three engine options. Besides the familiar 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from the Nexon, the SUV Coupe will be offered with an all-new 1.2-litre GDi Hyperion engine. This new direct-injection turbo-petrol unit produces 123 BHP and 225 Nm. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 7-speed DCA will also be offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine, making it the only diesel model in the mass market to offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
