Tata Curvv.ev SUV Coupe launched at Rs 17.49 lakh

The Tata Curvv will also be offered with petrol and diesel engine options. Prices of the ICE versions will be announced on September 2, 2024.

Tata Motors has launched the Curvv.ev SUV Coupe in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Curvv was first showcased in concept form at the 2023 Auto Expo. As you can see, the overall design of the production version remains identical to the concept car. It features a bold front end with a split headlamp setup and an LED light bar, a stylish coupe-like roofline and an upright rear fascia with a continuous LED taillight.

According to Tata Motors, with the Curvv.ev, the company has been able to lower the centre of gravity by 60 mm and achieve a 50:50 weight distribution. The car has 190 mm ground clearance and has a wading depth of 450 mm. The SUV rides on 18-inch wheels with aero inserts.

Inside, the Curvv.ev adopts a minimalistic design philosophy with a simple dashboard housing a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The car has a 4-spoke multi-function steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also equipped with features like a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, customizable mood lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker JBL sound system and a gesture-controlled electric tailgate.

The Curvv.ev gets Level 2 ADAS with over 20 safety features and driving aids. The SUV also gets a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitoring system, 6 airbags, ESP, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and more.

The Tata Curvv.ev uses a single 123 kW electric motor powered by either a 45 kWh or 55 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 502 km and 585 km (ARAI certified), respectively. Tata claims that the Curvv.ev can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 km/h.

Thanks to a charging rate of 1.2C, the batteries can be recharged from 10-80% in 40 minutes using a 70 kW charger. A quick 15-minute charge can give you 150 km of range. The car also supports Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) charging at up to 3.3 kVA and 5 kVA respectively.
