Thanks to Asif Kareem for sending this information in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts via this Team-BHP page

Ford has recalled diesel versions of the Ford Freestyle to inspect a wiring harness bracket. The company has already sent out notifications to owners asking them to schedule an appointment with their nearest Ford service centre. However, the exact number of cars that are affected by this recall is not known.

According to Ford, the inspection will require less than half a day depending on the service schedules at the dealer end. The inspection and modification will be done free of charge.

The Ford Freestyle was launched in April 2018. The car is based on the Figo and is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 99 BHP and 215 Nm of torque. The Freestyle is also available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 95 BHP and 120 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission.
