BMW CE 04 electric scooter launched at Rs 14.90 lakh

The CE 04 can sprint from 0-50 km/h in 2.6 seconds and has a range of 130 km.

BMW Motorrad has launched its futuristic CE 04 electric scooter in India. Priced at Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom), it is the most expensive e-scooter in the Indian market.

The BMW CE 04 is a premium maxi-scooter that has a rather unconventional design. There are dual LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs at the front and a flat seat. It gets a 10.25-inch colour TFT instrument console with built-in navigation and connectivity; among other features. 

The BMW CE 04 measures 2,285 mm in length, 85 mm in width and 1,150 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,675 mm, and the seat height is set at 780 mm, which can be raised to 855 mm with the comfort seat.

The CE 04 is powered by a liquid-cooled electric motor that generates 41 BHP and 62 Nm. It can sprint from 0-50 km/h in 2.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 120 km/h. 

The CE 04 packs an 8.9 kWh battery, which is said to have a range of 130 km. The scooter comes with a 2.3 kW charger, however a BMW Wallbox charger is available as an option. It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80%.

The BMW CE 04 is available in two colour schemes: Avantgarde Blue and Light White.
