Mini has launched the new-gen Countryman in India. It is only available as a pure EV and comes in a single variant. It is priced at Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Countryman features several design changes both on the inside and on the exterior. Starting from the outside, the electric SUV has a large octagonal grille at the front with new LED headlamp clusters, while the rear gets new design LED taillights.
Inside, the Countryman E gets a minimalistic dashboard, with a large circular touchscreen in the centre. It also doubles as the instrument cluster. The 2-tone dashboard houses vertical air-conditioning vents and a quirky-looking 3-spoke steering wheel.
The Countryman E comes with a 66.45 kWh battery pack that powers a single electric motor. It delivers 201 BHP and 250 Nm. Mini claims it can cover 462 km on a single charge.
The Mini Countryman E rivals the BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
