Maruti Suzuki opens 500th Nexa showroom in India

Currently, models like the Ignis, Baleno, Fronx, Jimny, Ciaz, XL6 and Invicto are sold via Nexa retail outlets.

Maruti Suzuki now has 500 Nexa showrooms spread across India. The carmaker recently opened its 500th outlet in Bangalore.

The first Nexa showroom was inaugurated in July 2015. Today, Maruti's "premium" retail outlets are present in 303 cities and the company plans to open another 100 Nexa outlets in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by early 2025.

According to Maruti Suzuki, models sold under the Nexa retail chain account for 30% of its total monthly sales. 37% of the total Nexa sales come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and hence, the company plans to introduce new touchpoints called 'Nexa Studio' in smaller towns and cities. 

Nexa Studios will be smaller in size compared to regular Nexa outlets. These will be set up in markets where sales of Nexa models are limited to 25-30 units per month. Besides sales, these new outlets will also house service and spare parts facilities.
