Skoda Kylaq compact SUV spotted with a single-pane sunroof

The Skoda Kylaq is based on the MQB A0-IN platform, shared with the Kushaq and Slavia.

Skoda’s new compact SUV for the Indian market was recently christened Kylaq. While it is set to make its global debut next year, prototypes have already been spotted testing on Indian roads.

A test mule of the Skoda Kylaq was recently spotted on the outskirts of Pune. As you can clearly see in this spy image, the car is fitted with a single-pane sunroof, which is likely to be a feature offered on higher variants. The SUV is also equipped with roof rails and a shark fin antenna.

The overall design of the Kylaq appears to be inspired by the Kushaq. It has crisp lines all over, with a prominent shoulder line running along the side. It has an angular tail lamp design.

The Skoda Kylaq is based on the MQB A0-IN platform, shared with the Kushaq and Slavia. It is expected to be offered with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and will get manual and automatic transmission options.
