Ather Energy has announced its plans to enter the Sri Lankan market, its second international market after Nepal. The company plans to open its first experience centre in the island nation in late 2024.

Ather Energy has partnered with Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Sensei Capital Partners, Atman Group and Sino Lanka Pvt. Ltd., to launch its electric 2-wheelers in the country. It will manage Ather Energy’s sales and service operations and also focus on establishing a network of fast-charging infrastructure across the country.

Last year, Ather Energy opened its first experience centre in Nepal. Since then, the company has set up three outlets and seven fast-charging grids across the country.

Currently, Ather has two electric scooters in its portfolio. The 450 Series includes the 450S, 450X and 450 Apex. Recently, the company introduced a more practical family e-scooter called the Rizta.
