Maruti eVX electric SUV to make its global debut in January 2025

The Marut eVX will compete with the Tata Curvv.ev and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV in the Indian market.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the production version of its first pure-electric SUV, the eVX, will be unveiled in January 2025. The car will be presented during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo that will be held between January 17 and 22, in New Delhi.

The Maruti eVX will be manufactured in India. The carmaker plans to build 1.5 lakh units per annum. Most of the cars produced will be for export markets. The carmaker hopes to launch it early next year, initially in Europe and Japan.

The eVX will be based on a skateboard platform and is likely to be offered with two battery options with up to 550 km of range and either a single or dual-motor configuration. The EV is expected to have features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, a wireless phone charger, a head-up display and ADAS.

The Marut eVX will compete with the Tata Curvv.ev and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV in the Indian market. Toyota will also introduce a rebadged version of the eVX, a few months after the Suzuki EV goes on sale in India.
