Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

The introductory pricing is valid for all bookings with deliveries till October 31, 2024.

Citroen has announced the launch of the Basalt SUV Coupe in the Indian market. It is available at an introductory price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Citroen Basalt shares its underpinnings with the C3 Aircross. It has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm. The car also promises up to 980 mm of legroom for second-row passengers.

In terms of design, the Basalt gets a split headlamp set up with a set of projectors and V-shaped LED DRLs. It has the signature Citroen logo in the centre and a chunky front bumper with a large air dam flanked by a set of fog lamps. The Basalt has a coupe-like roofline, large wraparound taillights, a dual-tone rear bumper with a silver skid plate, a black roof and a shark-fin antenna.

The Basalt gets a dual-tone interior with a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and cruise control. The rear seat passengers get dedicated AC vents and contoured headrests.

The SUV Coupe is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 81 BHP and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that puts out 108 BHP and 190 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Standard safety features offered on the Basalt include 6 airbags, ESC, Isofix, seat belt reminders and 3-point seat belts for all seats.

The booking amount for the Bsasalt is set at Rs 11,001. The introductory pricing is valid for all bookings with deliveries till October 31, 2024.
