Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 to be launched in India on September 5

The Maybach EQS 680 comes with a 108 kWh battery pack, claimed to offer a WLTP range of 600 km.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 made its global debut in April last year. According to the latest reports, the pure-electric luxury SUV will be launched in India on September 5, 2024.

The Maybach EQS 680 is the brand’s flagship electric SUV. It is based on the standard EQS and gets several Maybach-specific details and features. In terms of design, the SUV gets a massive chrome grille with a three-pointed star hood ornament on the bonnet, unique 21/22-inch wheels, and lots of chrome all around. It comes with a choice of dual-tone colour schemes.

Inside, the Maybach EQS 680 gets the brand's MBUX Hyperscreen with Maybach-specific start-up animations. The rear passengers get individual 11.6-inch displays mounted on the back of the front seats. The seats are upholstered in Nappa leather and come with reclining and massage functions. The centre console at the rear gets wooden trims and access to the trunk fridge.

Powering the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 are two electric motors (one on each axle), producing 649 BHP and 950 Nm. Mercedes claims that the SUV can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 209 km/h.

The Maybach EQS 680 comes with a 108 kWh battery pack, claimed to offer a WLTP range of 600 km on a single charge. Mercedes offers a 22 kW onboard AC charger, but the SUV supports 200 kW fast charging as well.
