Scoop! Renault Arkana Coupe-SUV spied in India: A detailed look

Although the car seems to have a lot of tech features, the launch timing may have a lot of impact on the sales.

BHPian Daewoo1995 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

There have been many spy shots of the Renault Arkana coupé SUV. I got the chance to look at a test car closely, so I took some time to take a few pictures for the BHP Community.

Exterior:

The front of the Arkana looks decent and has a drooping hood and bumper design. It does not look boxy like many SUVs in the market these days. It gets 6 parking sensors at the front.

The C-shaped headlamps house the DRLs and the headlamps are all LED.

The side looks proportionate and the trunk integrates well with the body unlike the Tata Curvv which looks pretty odd (although both cars might be in different segments).

The front fenders also get the RS Line Badging:

The rear of the Arkana gets the Renault logo along with Arkana Badging and connected taillamps. It also gets six parking sensors at the rear. It also gets the E-Tech hybrid badging since this one is a strong hybrid vehicle.

It gets 18-inch alloy wheels (Tyre profile: 215/55 R18 95H) along with a red strip on one of the spokes. All the 4 wheels get disk brakes.

The ORVMs get a Blind Spot warning indicator along with cameras at the bottom for 360-degree views:

The roof consists of a large sunroof:

Interiors:

The interiors are in a black shade with a carbon fiber finish in some of the trims and red stitching and inserts in some areas.

The dash gets carbon fiber finish trims along with a large vertical display for the infotainment system:

The car has a BOSE audio system as well as ambient lighting:

The controls below the infotainment screen include the seat ventilation button, a dedicated EV Button, a Hazard Lamp button, a Central Locking button as well as a Park Assist button. The Auto AC Controls look very similar to that of the Kiger. It also gets two USB A Ports, an AUX Port as well as a 12V Socket.

Both the driver as well as the passenger seats are electrically adjustable:

The driver door gets all 4 auto up-down power window controls along with window up-down lock as well as the ORVM Adjustment and folding controls.

The audio controls are not mounted on the steering wheel, they get a dedicated stick below the wiper controls. Also, the wiper controls are on the right side and the Headlamps/Indicator controls are on the left side, which could be due to standard parts being used from Left Hand Drive units.

The lane assist button, illumination brightness controls, and headlamp leveling buttons are below the driver-side AC Vents:

The steering wheel gets the cruise control buttons, voice command controls, Bluetooth calling controls as well as the MID Controls. The Renault logo gets a red outline:

It also gets the RS Line badging scuff plates:

The front center armrest looks like a cheap one (similar to how the VW Vento used to have):

The center console gets the cupholders along with the electronic parking brake button and an auto hold button. Also notice the key card, which looks similar to that of the Kiger, although this key was covered by a silicone case.

The roof gets the sunroof controls, LED Cabin lamps, and an SOS Button along with the passenger airbag status indicator:

The rear seats also get AC Vents, two USB Charging ports, and a 12V Socket:

Conclusion

Although the car seems to have a lot of tech features, the launch timing may have a lot of impact on the sales, since other car makers might start offering these features by the time the Arkana is launched. Further, it would also be critical to see if Renault cuts down on features when it finally launches the Arkana in the Indian market. Needless to say, the pricing of the car would also decide if the Arkana will succeed or fail in the Indian market.

Would any of the BHP Community members buy this when it launches?
