Rumour: BMW G 310 R India launch in October

If recent media reports are to be believed, the BMW G 310 R is scheduled to launch in India by next month, i.e., October 2016. The G 310 R will be the smallest capacity motorcycle in BMW Motorrad's portfolio. It is also the first bike coming out from the TVS-BMW Joint venture formed in 2013.

The new report comes as a contradiction to earlier reports that suggested a launch in early 2017. The reason behind this delay was attributed to some supply related issues in the company's manufacturing plant. There has been no official word from the German manufacturer about the launch date yet.

The G 310 R is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of putting out 34 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm. This power mill is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
