Next-gen Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 spied

The new Svartpilen 401 will be based on the 2022 KTM 390 Duke.

The first images of the next generation Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 have surfaced online. The test mule was spotted testing in the UK.

The new Svartpilen 401 will be based on the 2022 KTM 390 Duke and features a new steel trellis frame. Note that the test bike has an exposed rear subframe as well. Although, given the fact that this is an early development mule, this could change. The bike also has a new rear swingarm.

The test bike is equipped with a circular LED headlamp that has an LED DRL ring around it and a plastic fly screen. Other updates might include a new digital instrument cluster and a radially-mounted front brake calliper.

The new Svartpilen 401 is expected to use the updated engine from the KTM 390 Duke. At present, the bike is offered with a 373cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 43 BHP and 37 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
