Over 1.76 lakh Mahindra Thar Roxx booked within 60 minutes

The Thar Roxx is available in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, with prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Earlier today, Mahindra opened bookings for the Thar Roxx. Dealerships across India started accepting orders from 11 am onwards, and according to the carmaker, 1,76,218 units were booked within the first 60 minutes.

The Thar Roxx is available in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, with prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Deliveries will commence on Dussehra.

The Thar Roxx 4x2 is available with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 160 BHP and 330 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 150 BHP and 330 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Thar Roxx 4x4 is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which comes in two states of tune. The 6-speed manual variants pack 150 BHP and 300 Nm, and the 6-speed automatic variants have 172 BHP and 370 Nm.

The Thar Roxx 4x4 is equipped with Mahindra’s 4XPLOR System, which comprises an electronic locking differential and a low-ratio transfer case. The SUV also gets CrawlSmart Assist, which offers precise low-speed control, and IntelliTurn, which is said to improve manoeuvrability. It has three Terrain Modes – Snow, Sand and Mud, and two Drive Modes – Zip and Zoom.
