Moto Guzzi V9 and MGX 21 launched in India

Piaggio India has today announced the launch of two bikes under its Moto Guzzi brand - the V9 and the MGX 21. The new bikes will be available through the Piaggio Group's Motoplex showrooms in Pune, Kochi, Hyderabad and Chennai.

The Moto Guzzi V9 will be offered in two variants in the Indian market - V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber. The Roamer is the successor of the Moto Guzzi Nevada. Meanwhile, the Bobber gets blacked-out looks. Both the V9 bikes are powered by an 850 cc, two-cylinder engine. Features on offer include Antilock Braking System (ABS), Adjustable Traction Control, immobilizer and a USB port. Moto Guzzi has launched the V9 at a price of Rs. 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).

The Moto Guzzi MGX 21 is squarely aimed at long-distance biking enthusiasts. It has a 1400 cc, 90° transverse V-twin engine. The Italian marquee has added features like ABS, adjustable traction control, cruise control, and ride by wire throttle. It also includes an advanced instrumentation panel that even gets an entertainment system. The Moto Guzzi MGX 21 is priced at Rs. 27.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and will be available only on order.
