Mahindra has added an S4+ variant to its Scorpio SUV range. The new variant is equipped with safety and security features such as driver and front passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD, panic brake indication, seatbelt reminder lamp and auto lock while driving. The car also features an optional shift-on-fly four-wheel drive system.

Other equipment includes follow-me-home headlamps, power window switches on the door panels and a bottle holder and cup holder.

Going by the details available on the company's website, the shift-on-fly four-wheel drive system seems to have been left out on the standard S4 variant.

The S4+ variant is powered by a 2,179 cc, 4-cylinder, mHawk diesel engine that puts out 120 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1800-2800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The S6+ variant, which earlier had just one airbag (for the driver), now comes with an airbag for the front passenger as well.
