Kia has rejigged the Carens lineup following the global debut of the Carens Clavis. The carmaker has already confirmed that the new model will be sold alongside the existing Carens, which will only be offered in a single entry-level trim.
Kia has discontinued all variants except the Premium (O) trim. It is priced at Rs 11.41 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard Carens is only available in a 7-seater configuration and misses out on features like ventilated seats, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, cruise control, a sunroof and Level 2 ADAS.
The Carens Premium (O) trim is available with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the NA petrol and diesel versions get a 6-speed manual, the turbo-petrol engine is paired with a 6-speed iMT.
