TVS to launch a new entry-level electric scooter in India

The new entry-level e-scooter could slot below the iQube in the Rs 90,000- Rs 1 lakh price bracket.

TVS is reportedly planning to expand its electric 2-wheeler lineup with the introduction of a new entry-level e-scooter. The new model is expected to be positioned below the iQube. It could be launched before the festive season.

While exact details are scarce, the new affordable e-scooter from TVS is expected to feature a simpler design and will have fewer features compared to the iQube.

To keep costs down, TVS might opt for a hub-mounted electric motor and a smaller battery pack. Speaking of costs, the new entry-level e-scooter could be priced in the Rs 90,000- Rs 1 lakh range.

Currently, the most affordable version of the iQube uses a 2.2 kWh battery, offering a range of 75 km on a single charge. The top-spec iQube ST comes with a 5.1 kWh battery and a range of 150 km, however, it costs Rs 1.85 lakh.
