Last month, Skoda launched the second-generation Kodiaq in the Indian market. Customer deliveries of the new SUV have now commenced.
The new Kodiaq is available in two variants: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K), priced at Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The Kodiaq features a revised front grille, a split headlamp setup with L-shaped LED DRLs, and C-shaped taillights connected by an LED light bar. Inside, you get a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13-inch floating touchscreen. Other features include 3-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function (L&K trim), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, 9 airbags, and park assist.
The second-gen Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG and an all-wheel drive system.
Volkswagen is also expected to launch the Tayron by the end of this year. The 3-row SUV will compete with the Toyota Fortuner as well as its stablemate, the Kodiaq.
