Triumph has released a teaser of a new variant of the Scrambler 400X. It is likely to be a more off-road-focused version and could be called the Scrambler 400XC.
The official teaser shows the front end of the bike. It features a body-coloured high front fender and a headlamp grille. It is also expected to get a flyscreen and beefier engine protection.
Spy images of the upcoming Scrambler 400XC indicate that the bike will ride on cross-spoke wheels instead of alloys and dual-purpose tyres.
The Scrambler 400XC will be powered by the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the standard model. This unit puts out 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension setup will be carried over from the standard Scrambler 400X. It will feature a 43 mm USD fork in the front and an adjustable mono-shock in the rear, while braking will be handled by a 320 mm disc up front with a 4-piston caliper and a 230 mm disc in the rear paired with a single-piston caliper.
