Triumph Scrambler 400XC launched at Rs 2.94 lakh

The Scrambler 400XC will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure X.

Triumph has launched the Scrambler 400XC in India. The new variant is priced at Rs 2,94,147 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is almost Rs 27,000 more than the standard Scrambler 400X.

According to Triumph, the new Scrambler 400XC draws inspiration from the Scrambler 900 and 1200 models. It’s a more off-road-focused machine and comes equipped with an engine and sump guard as standard, a high fender, a windscreen, and tank pads.

The Scrambler 400XC rides on cross spoke wheels with a 19-inch rim in the front and a 17-inch rim in the rear, wrapped in tubeless dual-purpose tyres. It also has a dedicated off-road ABS mode, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, LED lighting, a USB charging port, and an immobilizer.

Powering the Scrambler 400XC is the familiar 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This unit puts out 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup comprises a 43 mm USD fork in the front and an adjustable mono-shock in the rear, while braking is handled by a 320 mm disc up front with a 4-piston caliper and a 230 mm disc in the rear paired with a single-piston caliper.

The Triumph Scrambler 400XC is available in three colours: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey and Vanilla White.
