Honda introduces Amaze in new SX trim

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has introduced a new SX variant of its Amaze sedan. Priced at Rs. 6,22,640 for the petrol and Rs. 7,12,240 for the diesel, the SX is placed between the S and the VX variants.

The SX features all the equipment available in the S variant with the addition of a few safety features like dual airbags and pretensioners for the front seatbelts. Additionally, the petrol SX will be equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS), a feature that was always present on all the variants of the Amaze diesel. There are no changes to the engines of the car.

With the addition of the SX, the number of variants of the Amaze has gone up to twelve. They include the E, EX, S, SX and VX (petrol and diesel) and SAT and VXAT (petrol only). Honda claims that the S variant is the most popular among them.

With more than 60,000 units sold since it was launched in April 2013, the Amaze has been one of Honda’s more successful products.
