Scoop! Zero ZXE electric motorcycle spotted testing in India

Hero Motocorp has partnered with Zero Motorcycles to manufacture its electric motorcycles in India.

The Zero ZXE, an electric motorcycle built by California-based Zero Motorcycles, has been spotted testing in India. 

The Zero ZXE features a supermoto design. It has a circular LED headlamp with an integrated beak, raised handlebars and a single-piece seat. 

The Zero ZXE is equipped with an electric motor that has a peak output of 46 BHP and 106 Nm. The bike is powered by a 7.2 kWh battery pack, giving it a maximum range of 169 km. Top speed is rated at 137 km/h.

The bike rides on Showa 41 mm upside-down fork at the front and Showa 40 mm monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes with ABS.

India’s Hero Motocorp has partnered with Zero Motorcycles to manufacture its electric motorcycles in India. The ZXE could be their first offering for the Indian market.
