6th-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB bookings to open in September

The latest model will lock horns with the BMW 5 Series LWB in the Indian market.

According to a media report, Mercedes-Benz is expected to open bookings for the new E-Class LWB next month.

Production of the sixth-generation E-Class LWB has already commenced, and some dealerships have also started accepting pre-bookings, albeit unofficially. The latest model will lock horns with the BMW 5 Series LWB in the Indian market.

The 6th-generation E-Class features a redesigned front fascia and reprofiled LED headlamps. The car gets quad-tail lights with unique star-shaped brake lights and flush-fitting door handles.

Inside, the new E-Class gets the “Superscreen” setup that includes a 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre with an additional screen on the passenger side and a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The sedan also features power-reclining rear seats with an ottoman function, air suspension, and rear-wheel steering.

The new E-Class LWB will be offered with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines paired with a mild-hybrid system.
