3rd-gen Honda Amaze unveiling pushed to December 2024

The 3rd-gen Honda Amaze could be launched in the Indian market in January 2025.

The third-generation Honda Amaze was expected to debut around Diwali this year. However, as per the latest reports, the unveiling of the new model has been postponed to December, which means the car is likely to go on sale no sooner than January 2025.

The next-gen Amaze is expected to be based on a modified version of the same platform that underpins the City and Elevate. That being said, the Amaze will have a shorter wheelbase compared to the City, while its overall length will be less than 4 meters.

The new Amaze could borrow design cues from the other sedans in Honda’s line-up. Inside, the car is expected to get a larger, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system similar to that offered in the Elevate.

Reports suggest that the next-gen Amaze will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine. It is said that the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder unit from the current model is likely to be carried over. It produces 89 BHP and 110 Nm and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT.
