BSA Gold Star 650 launched at Rs 2.99 lakh

The BSA Gold Star 650 will take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in the Indian market.

Classic Legends has launched the BSA Gold Star 650 in India. The retro motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

The BSA Gold Star features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a circular headlamp. It has a flat single-piece seat and raised handlebars and is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster and a USB charger.

Powering the BSA Gold Star is a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 45 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. 

The Gold Star 650 rides on a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends (320 mm front and 255 mm rear), supported by dual-channel ABS. The bike is fitted with wire-spoke wheels shod with tube-type tyres. 

The bike comes in six colour options: Highland Green, Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, Shadow Black, and a Legacy Edition finished in Sheen Silver.
