Ola Electric launches Roadster range of e-bikes priced from Rs 75,000

Online reservations for the Roadster X and Roadster models are now open.

Ola Electric has launched its first electric motorcycle range in India. The new Roadster series is available in three variants: Roadster X, Roadster and Roadster Pro, with prices starting at Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom).

Ola's Roadster series of e-bikes are based on the concept that was showcased last year. All three models are built around a double cradle frame and have a simple and futuristic design. They get sleek LED headlights, alloy wheels and a digital instrument console. The Roadster Pro is the sportiest of the lot, with a more muscular design and wider wheels and tyres.

The base Roadster X comes with three battery options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh, and a range of up to 200 km. It has a 14.7 BHP electric motor that enables the bike to accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 124 km/h.

The mid-spec Roadster is available with a 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh or 6 kWh battery pack and a range of up to 248 km. It is powered by a 17.4 BHP electric motor. Ola claims a 0-40 km/h time of 2.2 seconds and a top speed of 126 km/h.

The Roadster Pro comes with 8 kWh and 16 kWh battery packs, giving it a maximum range of up to 579 km. The electric motor generates 70 BHP and 105 Nm, which enables the bike to sprint from 0-40 km/h in 1.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 194 km/h.

This version gets a USD front fork, dual disc brakes at the front, a 10-inch touchscreen and ADAS. Features like Hill Hold, traction control and ABS modes are standard across all three bikes.

Ola Electric has started accepting online reservations for the Roadster X and Roadster models today. Deliveries will commence in January 2025. Deliveries for the Roadster Pro will begin from Diwali 2025.
