Video: BMW G 310 R spotted testing in India

The BMW G 310 R has been captured on video during a test run in India. The bike is expected to be launched here later this year.

The G 310 R will be the most affordable bike from BMW Motorrad to be sold in India. It has been developed under a joint-venture with TVS Motor Company. It will also be the first bike from BMW to be produced locally. Powering the G 310 R is a 313 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine that churns out 34 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Production of the G 310 R is already underway as the bike is being exported to other countries from the TVS manufacturing plant in India. In the Indian market, it will be competing against the likes of KTM Duke 390, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo.
