Toyota Kirloskar Motor gets a new MD

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced the appointment of Mr. Akito Tachibana as its new Managing Director w.e.f. April 01, 2016.

At present, Mr. Tachibana heads the technical, purchase and quality assurance functions at TKM. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Toyota Motor Thailand.

Mr. Tachibana has been associated with Toyota for 30 years and served in various divisions such as domestic and overseas planning, used car and product management. Not only has he headed Toyota Motor Vietnam as the President, but he has also been responsible for corporate planning at Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America as well as product planning for North America.

At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Mr. Tachibana will be replacing Mr. Naomi Ishii, who has been appointed as the General Manager of Corporate Planning Division, Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan (w.e.f. April 01, 2016).
