Royal Enfield launches riding jacket made from recycled plastic

It takes 75 plastic bottles to make one Streetwind Eco riding jacket.

Royal Enfield has launched a new riding jacket made from recycled materials. The Streetwind Eco is a mesh jacket that is available in three colours and is priced at Rs 5,950.

According to the company, the Streetwind Eco jacket is made entirely from recycled materials. It takes 75 plastic bottles to make one jacket. Royal Enfield has made over 5,400 such jackets, which amounts to 4.1 lakh plastic bottles.

The Streetwind Eco comes with Ergo Pro Tech CE level 2 armour that includes shoulder and elbow guards. According to the company, the shell, mesh fabric and Cordura are also recycled.
