Range Rover Sport : 1 million sales up

The Range Rover Sport has crossed a new sales milestone. According to Land Rover, the SUV has sold more than 10 lakh units. To reach this milestone, it has taken the car a little over 15 years. This milestone has made the Range Rover Sport one of the best-selling Land Rover SUVs of all time.

Showcased as the Range Stormer concept in 2004, the SUV went into production the very next year. The second-generation Range Rover Sport was launched in 2013. It is offered globally with a variety of engine options including 2.0-litre 4-cylinder, 3.0-litre V6 and 4.4-litre V8 diesels and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder, 3.0-litre V6 and 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol units. A plug-in hybrid option is also offered with the 2.0-litre petrol engine.  

Land Rover has also released a video to commemorate the milestone. The video shows the SUV in different terrains like urban city, Nurburgring racetrack, desert, Pike's Peak and Heaven's gate steps, where it climbed 999 steps.
