Citroen Basalt variant-wise prices out; top-spec costs Rs 13.62 lakh

The Citroen Basalt is available in three variants: You, Plus and Max. Prices for the turbo-petrol version start at Rs 11.49 lakh.

Citroen launched the Basalt on August 9. At the time, the carmaker had only announced its base price. Now, Citroen has revealed all the variants and the price list.

The Citroen Basalt is available in three variants: You, Plus and Max, with prices ranging from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the turbo-petrol version start at Rs 11.49 lakh. A dual-tone option is available on the Max variants for an additional Rs 21,000.

The Basalt is an SUV coupe based on the same platform as the C3 Aircross. It gets a split headlamp set up with a set of projectors and V-shaped LED DRLs. It has a coupe-like roofline, large wraparound taillights, a dual-tone rear bumper with a silver skid plate, a black roof and a shark-fin antenna.

The Basalt gets a dual-tone interior with a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and cruise control. The rear seat passengers get dedicated AC vents and contoured headrests.

The Basalt is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 81 BHP and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that puts out 108 BHP and 190 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Deliveries of the Citroen Basalt will commence in the first week of September.
