Nissan Magnite scores 4-stars in Global NCAP crash tests

The Nissan Magnite shares its underpinnings with the Renault Kiger.

The Nissan Magnite has been awarded a 4-star safety rating by Global NCAP. The car scored 11.85 points for adult occupant protection and 24.88 points for child safety.

According to the test report, the Magnite offered good protection to the head and neck of the front occupants. The driver’s chest showed marginal protection and the passenger’s chest showed good protection. The driver and front passenger’s knees showed marginal protection. The passenger’s right knee showed good protection. The driver’s and passenger’s tibias showed adequate protection.

The child seat for the 3-year-old dummy could not prevent excessive forward movement of the head and offered poor protection to the chest. The child seat for the 1.5-year-old dummy offered good protection to the head but the protection offered to the chest was rated as poor.

The test vehicle was equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, seatbelt pre-tensioners, seatbelt reminders and ISOFIX.
