Next gen Audi A4 to get 2.0L TFSI petrol engine

Audi is gearing up to launch the next generation A4. While the design and features of the car will be revealed at a later stage, the German automaker has just confirmed a major detail. The new Audi A4 will be offered with a 2.0L TFSI petrol engine.

The engine was revealed at the Vienna Motor Symposium. The engine weighs in at around 140 kgs. The power output is rated at 188 BHP, while the torque is 320 Nm @ 1,450 to 4,400 rpm. Currently, the A4 is offered with a 1.8L (35 TFSI) petrol in India that makes 168 BHP and 320 Nm of torque.

Once launched with the new A4, this new engine will make its way under the bonnets of other models in Audi's range as well.
