Mercedes-Benz opens 'Centre of Excellence' at Chakan

Mercedes-Benz India has inaugurated a 'Centre of Excellence' at its Chakan plant, near Pune. This facility is the first of its kind in India, featuring segmented wall panels, which have built-in audio-visual display units and integrated elements with brochures and latest accessories on display.

The 'Centre of Excellence' has a dedicated helipad, making it convenient for customers who wish to fly in and out of the plant. Mercedes-Benz provides a complete guided tour of the manufacturing facility.

The latest range of Mercedes AMG cars like the SLS AMG, SLK 55 AMG, E 63 AMG and G 55 AMG are on display at the 'Centre of Excellence'. Other vehicles like the SLK and CLS have also been displayed.

The facility has an 'iConfigurator', which enables customers to preview the entire range of cars in the Mercedes-Benz and AMG portfolio digitally, getting a feel of exterior paints, upholstery and alloy wheels. Additionally, customers can customize their cars according to their choice of leather, colour of stitches and pedals.

A purpose-built track has been constructed within the premises, where customers can drive and experience the off-roading capabilities of MB’s entire range of SUVs.
