Mahindra Thar Adventure Edition launched

Mahindra and Mahindra has launched a limited edition of the Thar called the Adventure Edition. Only 30 units of the vehicle will be sold through selected dealerships.

The Adventure Edition is based on the CRDe variant of the Thar and features a new Java brown colour with an Adventure body wrap. The vehicle gets protectors for the head lamps and tail lamps, a chaff screen and wheel arch extensions for a more rugged look.

On the inside, the Adventure Edition gets black seat covers with orange piping, a new centre console, 2D map and compass and moulded floor mats.

The Adventure Edition continues to use the same 2.5-litre, diesel engine that produces 103 bhp and 247 Nm of torque as the regular Thar. The 5-speed gearbox is also carried over from the standard model.

Mahindra has not revealed the price of the Adventure Edition. However, we expect it to be sold at Rs. 35,000-40,000 more than the regular Thar which retails at Rs. 7.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
