The Thar Armada will be offered with the same set of engines as the standard model.

According to a media report, series production of the Mahindra Thar 5-door has commenced at the brand's Chakan plant. The new model is likely to be called Thar Armada.

The report also sheds some light on the planned production numbers of the Thar 5-door. It is said that Mahindra had initially planned to build 2,500 units, which has now been increased to around 5,000-6,000 units per month.

The Thar Armada is expected to get a different front fascia with LED headlights and taillights and will ride on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Thar Armada is expected to get features such as electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, reading lamps for rear passengers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen paired with a 9-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system, a digital instrument cluster and an auto-dimming IRVM.
