Kia’s new design philosophy unveiled in EV6 electric vehicle

According to Kia, the new design language takes cues from the contrasts found in nature and humanity. The ‘Opposites United’ theme will debut in the EV6.

Kia has unveiled the first images of its all-electric vehicle, which is scheduled to debut in March 2021. The car is based on the company's new E-GMP dedicated EV platform.

According to Kia, the new design language takes cues from the contrasts found in nature and humanity. The ‘Opposites United’ theme will debut in the EV6.

The EV6 gets a slim grille and sleek headlights. Kia calls it the Tiger nose grille of the electrified era. It also gets sequential indicators, daytime running lights and a wide air dam.

The side profile reveals a crossover-like design with a tapering window line. It has glossy black insert on the C-Pillar and a character line that tilts upwards towards the rear to align itself with the tail lamps. The car is seen riding on dual tone, 5-spoke alloys.

At the rear, the EV6 gets a full-width LED light which is located just below a raised spoiled. Towards the end of the roof, there is also a wing that is claimed to channel air to the aforementioned spoiler to improve the cars aerodynamics.

On the inside, the car gets a dual spoke steering wheel, dual screens for the driver’s console and the AVN unit with the AC controls located below the screen. The dashboard slopes towards the front of the car and the upholstery is made out of recycled plastic.
