DIY: Sun visor for my Honda City infotainment screen

DIY : Sun visor for infotainment screen:

The Honda City 5th gen in specific has this annoying glare when we have sun right on top of the wind shield. The infotainment screen is at an angle that is most prone to glare. ( why Honda, doesn't this count in ergonomics ??!)

Below is a desi jugaad, quite a simple one indeed, but solves my problem for good.

Materials required:

  • PVC file (slightly of heavy material).
  • Pair of scissors.

And finally, a video clip: DIY : Sun visor for infotainment screen.

Here's what BHPian AKSarkar1 had to say on the matter:

Might be a jugaad, but is executed to perfection, you might want to patent this.

On a somewhat serious note, I am sure dealers would not hesitate twice before calling it an OEM accessory by slapping a sticker on it and selling it for something like 'Rs. 1999/- only'.

I face a similar problem with my Ciaz unit and I think I have got some mod inspiration from you for this weekend.

Here's what BHPian Aravind_M92 had to say on the matter:

I believe this mod will be necessity in future. With all cars now having floating HUs, or placed high up, glare is inevitable. People will have to get shades for the HU as well.

Desi jugaads at best.
