Delhi: Charge your EVs for free from 12 noon to 3 pm

It costs Rs 10 per unit to charge EVs during the morning and evening hours.

In a bid to promote the use of electric vehicles, the Delhi government has announced that users will be able to charge their EVs for free between 12 noon to 3 pm from June 1, 2022.

The government will offer free EV charging at more than 40 public charging stations, including those at South Extension, Bikaji Cama Place, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Mayur Vihar, Netaji Subhash Place, South Campus, Nelson Mandela Road, Hauz Khas, Green Park, Greater Kailash, Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, Saket, Shalimar Bagh and Preet Vihar; among others.

These charging stations have been set up by ElectriVa. The company plans to expand its network further by installing EV charging points at every 3 km in Delhi.

Usually, it costs Rs 10 per unit to charge EVs during the morning and evening hours.
