BYD has filed a design patent for the Denza N9 in India. Denza is a sub-brand of the Chinese automaker and the N9 is a luxury SUV.
The Denza N9 measures 5.2 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 3.1 meters. The SUV has a boxy design with clean lines and a blanked-off grille at the front. It has sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs and C-shaped vents on the front bumper. The slight hump atop the windshield houses the LIDAR sensor.
Inside, the Denza N9 comes equipped with a 17.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 13.2-inch digital instrument cluster. It has separate captain seats in the second and two additional individual seats in the third row. There are folding writing tables and a central infotainment screen.
The Denza N9 comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with three electric motors – one on the front axle and two each for the rear wheels. The combined output is a massive 911 BHP. There’s also a pure-electric version with a peak output of 952 BHP.
