Kawasaki has filed a design patent for the updated Z900 in India, which suggests that the naked streetfighter could be introduced in the near future.
The new Kawasaki Z900 made its global debut last year. The updated model features a slightly different design, but it looks as aggressive as before. It gets a new twin-pod LED headlamp, a redesigned taillight and reshaped body panels.
The Z900 is now available in the higher-spec ‘SE’ trim. It comes equipped with a 5-inch digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, power modes, and cruise control.
Powering the Z900 is a 948cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers 121 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 97.4 Nm @ 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and bi-directional quickshifter.
The Z900 SE comes with a KYB upside-down front fork and an Ohlins mono-shock at the rear. It also gets Brembo brakes, instead of the standard Nissin set offered on the base Z900.
