Audi starts testing 2015 A6 facelift in India

German luxury carmaker Audi revealed the 2015 A6 sedan in September last year. Now the company has started testing the car in India.

The facelifted A6 was spotted while it was being driven on the roads of Mumbai. The car has styling changes to the front grille, Audi's new Matrix LED headlamps, revised tail lamps with 'sweeping' rear indicators and restyled alloy wheels. The interiors of the car receive minor changes and an updated infotainment system.

The A6 facelift gets the same 2.0-litre TDI engine as the outgoing model. However, its power output has been raised from 175 bhp to 187 bhp. There is also a 3.0-litre TDI on offer. It is available in 215 bhp and 268 bhp states of tune or as a biturbo with 316 bhp on tap. Audi has also replaced the 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with the 1.8-litre TFSI from the A3.

The 2015 A6 is likely to be launched in the second quarter of the year.
