2018 Suzuki Hayabusa launched at Rs. 13.87 lakh

Suzuki has launched the 2018 Hayabusa in India. The superbike is priced at Rs. 13,87,623 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available two new colour options - dual-tone Pearl Mira Red / Pearl Glacier White and Glass Sparkle Black.

The Hayabusa measures 2,190 mm in length and its width and height are 735 mm and 1,165 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the bike is 1,480 mm and the seat height is set at 805 mm. The Hayabusa weighs 266 kg (kerb weight) and comes with a 21-litre fuel tank.

Apart from the new colour options, the Hayabusa does not feature any aesthetic changes. The fully faired bike has a U-shaped headlamp flanked by twin vents and indicators. The instrument panel comprises of a twin-dial setup with a digital readout in the centre. Moving to the side, it has the Hayabusa name on the side fairing and twin exhaust mufflers at the rear. Suzuki offers a choice of white or black 17-inch alloys depending on the colour scheme.

The 2018 edition is mechanically identical to its predecessor. It is powered by a 1,340 cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed transmission. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allows the rider to select from 3 engine maps. The Hayabusa comes with 43 mm upside-down telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. Braking is handled by twin Brembo discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single disc at the rear with a single piston Nissin caliper and the bike is equipped with ABS. The Hayabusa rides on 120/70 ZR17 and 190/50 ZR17 Bridgestone BT-015 tyres in the front and rear respectively.

The 2018 Hayabusa will be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
