Volkswagen is all set to launch the Golf GTI in India on May 26, 2025. It will be imported via the CBU route. The first batch of 150 units has already been booked.
The Golf GTI Mk 8.5 is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 BHP and 370 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. VW claims a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
On the outside, the hot hatch features a slim front fascia with LED headlamps, C-shaped LED taillights, a roof spoiler, dual exhausts, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Golf GTI gets an all-black interior with a 12.9-inch touchscreen in the centre, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include a 7-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and more.
