The Tata Punch will be launched in the Indian market this festive season.

Tata Motors has announced the official name of the HBX crossover. The upcoming model will be called 'Punch'.

The crossover was first unveiled in concept form at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is based on the ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) platform and features Tata's Impact 2.0 design.

Speaking of its design, the Tata Punch features a Harrier-like front fascia with a split grille and slim LED daytime running lights. The main headlamp clusters are positioned in separate pods on the bumper. Black cladding along the sides and wheel arches adds to the rugged look.

The funky crossover will be offered in dual-tone colour schemes. Higher variants will get diamond-cut alloy wheels, fog lamps and other features like a floating touchscreen infotainment system.

The Tata Punch is likely to be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 85 BHP and 113 Nm. Higher variants of the car might get a turbocharged 1.2-litre motor, while transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

The Tata Punch will be launched in the Indian market this festive season.
