Tata Altroz scores 5-stars in Global NCAP crash tests

The Tata Altroz has scored 5-stars for adult occupant safety and 3-stars for child occupant safety in crash tests conducted by Global NCAP.

According to the test report, the Altroz offered good protection to the head and neck of the driver and passenger. Driver and passenger's chest showed adequate protection, while the front occupant's knees showed good protection. The bodyshell and footwell area was rated as stable. The car also met the technical requirements of side impact regulations.

The ISOFIX and top tether was able to prevent excessive forward movement when the dummy of a 3-year old was seated in the child seat. The backrest of the rear seat unlatched during the crash and caused the dummy's head to hit the interior of the car. The car offered good protection to a dummy of a 1.5-year old child.

The test vehicle was equipped with dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, ABS and ISOFIX anchor points.
