Skoda Kodiaq listed on official Indian website

The upcoming Skoda Kodiaq has been listed on Skoda India's official website, under the 'En Route' caption. It is expected to be launched in India around the month of September 2017. The website is also offering customers an option to submit their details to receive all recent updates about the SUV.

The Kodiaq is Skoda's first ever seven-seater vehicle. It is based on the Vision S concept that was first showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Once launched, the Kodiaq will become Skoda's new flagship model in India, as it will be placed above the Superb sedan, which is the current flagship. It has already been spotted testing in India without any camouflage.

The Kodiaq is built on the MQB platform, which is also used in various vehicles of Audi and Volkswagen brands. It is globally available with three engine options: 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI, though the India-spec model's specifications aren't known yet.

The Skoda Kodiaq in India will compete against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the upcoming Isuzu MU-X.
