The Karoq was launched in India in May 2020 and 1,000 units were allotted. While the cars were brought into the country as completely built-up units (CBU), Skoda is considering local assembly of the SUV.

The Karoq is equipped with features such as a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, 2-zone automatic climate control and an electric sunroof. Other features include 12-way adjustable driver seat with memory function, SmartLink connectivity and cruise control. Safety features include 9 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ESC, hill-start assist and a rear parking camera.

The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 148 BHP @ 5,000-6,000 rpm and 250 Nm @ 1,500-3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which drives the front wheels.
